About this studio
Dancefloor is a Geneva- and Lausanne-based dance school in Switzerland specializing in Latin styles (salsa, bachata), urban dance, and their fusion. Founded in 2014, the school has grown to more than 500 students and built an international reputation. Beyond classes, Dancefloor runs a full ecosystem of events — weekly, monthly, and quarterly socials, international guest-instructor workshops, and a salsa festival.
The school is also home to an international performance company, active since 2009, that has delivered more than 250 shows worldwide with a signature style fusing Latin and urban dance. Dancefloor additionally operates a large dance media presence through its Dancefloor Geneva pages. The school emphasizes a welcoming community, individual correction of students, limited class sizes, and maintaining gender balance in partner classes.
What to expect
Your first visit
Newcomers are welcomed into a warm, social community. Beginner courses are structured and progressive, with teachers correcting students individually as much as possible. Classes run on a session basis across both Geneva (city center) and Lausanne (Bessieres) locations, and students are encouraged to come out and practice socially. Places are limited to keep teaching conditions optimal, so popular courses fill quickly.
