About this studio
SalsaRica is Zürich's leading salsa dance school and club, based in Zürich-West. It offers more than 50 evening courses each term spanning Salsa Cubana, Son and NY-Style, plus Rumba Cubana, Ladies Style, Kizomba and Bachata, covering everything from complete beginners to advanced dancers.
A signature "Aushilfe" (substitute-partner) system means students can sign up for any course or workshop on their own without bringing a partner. Beyond classes, SalsaRica runs regular parties at its own event location, the Bananenreiferei, positioning itself as both a school and a social club for the Latin dance community.
What to expect
Your first visit
Newcomers can start with free trial classes (Gratis Schnupperkurse). Courses are tiered from absolute beginner through intermediate to advanced, and you can enroll without a dance partner thanks to the substitute system. Expect a monthly workshop weekend to refine technique, plus open social parties every Monday and Friday at the club, where the SalsaPractica team is on hand to help with dance questions.
