About this studio
Studio Swing (studioswing.nl), run by Lenneke, is a Netherlands-based "Creatief Bewegend Leren" (creative movement-learning) practice rather than a conventional social or competitive dance studio. It trains preschool and kindergarten teachers and childcare staff to integrate dance, song, and movement into early-childhood education, on the premise that young children understand abstract concepts better when they first experience them physically. Its signature programs — Taaldans® (dance for language) and Rekendans® (dance for math) — translate Dutch early-years curriculum goals for language, math, and citizenship into accessible movement, play, and dance activities.

Your first visit
Offerings are aimed at educators rather than walk-in dance students: a training course (Opleiding Creatief Bewegend Leren) for kindergarten teachers and preschool staff, workshops and lectures for study days and conferences, online courses, and teaching materials such as the "Wisse Was" dishcloth-based movement cards and seasonal "Bewegende Aftelkalender" counting calendars. Existing dance teachers can also be certified in the Taaldans®/Rekendans® methods.
