Taneční škola Voila: Studio Jiřího z Poděbrad

Taneční škola Voilà is a Prague-based dance school operating two studios in the city centre near the Jiřího z Poděbrad and Můstek metro stations. The school offers roughly 20 dance styles across multiple skill levels for children (ages 3+), teens, and adults — ranging from street styles (break dance, hip-hop, popping, house, shuffle), Latin and ladies styles (salsa, bachata, dancehall, reggaeton), partner dances (Cuban salsa), and contemporary, ballet, and oriental/belly dance.

Unlike anonymous drop-in open classes, Voilà runs course-based programs where lessons build on each other week to week, so students progress steadily and get to know a consistent group and instructor. Classes run in small groups averaging 8–12 people. Owner Honza Svitlík personally knows every instructor and has interviewed each one, emphasizing teachers who both dance well and pass on the joy of dancing.

New students can try the school during the "trial week" at the start of the autumn and spring seasons, when every class costs just 100 Kč — a low-commitment way to sample one or more classes before choosing a course. Most people attend regularly as part of a course, so by the second or third lesson you are dancing with a familiar group. At the end of the autumn and spring seasons students may join an optional performance, though participation is never required.
