Walter Laird

Walter Laird was a British Latin dance champion and author whose book Technique of Latin Dancing became the definitive technical reference for International Latin, equivalent to Alex Moore's work for Standard.

As a teacher, syllabus / system builder, competitive champion and cultural preserver active during the Mid-20th century and Late 20th century eras, Walter left an indelible mark on Latin, Teaching / Dance Education across Europe. They are particularly remembered for Technique of Latin Dancing textbook, Latin technique codification, ISTD examiner.
