BNF Gallica scan. Single-dance dedicated pamphlet for La Bretagne, dedicated to Marie-Adélaïde de Savoie, Duchesse de Bourgogne (future mother of Louis XV). Notable as a third autonomous-composer attestation for Feuillet, after the 1702 La Triomphante (LOC-1702-FEUILLET-TRIOMPHANTE / H-BAR-VAR-F0133) and the 1703 La Madalena (LOC-1703-FEUILLET-MADALENA / H-BAR-VAR-F0137); Feuillet is primarily known as Pecour's notator in the Beauchamp-Feuillet system, and these dedicated pamphlets are the rare instances of him in the composer role. The dedicatory letter EXPLICITLY distinguishes Feuillet's La Bretagne from a same-named Pecour composition: 'j'aurais cru manquer à mon estime si je n'avais été prévenu par M. Pecour qui en a composé une sous le même nom' ('I would have failed in my esteem [toward Your Highness] if I had not been preceded by M. Pecour who has composed one under the same name'). The Pecour La Bretagne is in the IIIe Recueil pour 1705 (file 1704-Pecour-Recueil_(BNF).txt, not imported in this pass) and listed in the catalogue of the IVe Recueil pour 1706 (LOC-1705-PECOUR-RECUEIL, this pass's source B). Fully notated in Feuillet notation at the source (step detail not transcribed at this pass).Year: 1704Family: feuillet-bretagneCatalog: local
