Ruth St. Denis was an American dancer and choreographer who co-founded Denishawn (1915) with Ted Shawn, one of the first major modern dance schools. She brought Eastern aesthetics, spirituality, and ritual movement into Western concert dance.
As a choreographer, innovator and teacher active during the Early 1900s era, Ruth left an indelible mark on Modern, Choreography, Teaching / Dance Education across United States. They are particularly remembered for Co-founding Denishawn (1915), Eastern-influenced choreography, Radha solo.
